![]() When former Delaware Representative Mike Castle (R) announced that he would run for the United States Senate in 2010, "Wedo emerged as a potential candidate" to replace Castle in the United States House of Representatives. Wedo interviewed a dishwasher, server, grill cook and cashier to get "an inside look at what needs to be fixed within the company in order to give it a financial one-eighty." 2010 Delaware House election On October 18, 2013, Wedo appeared on Undercover Boss on CBS as CEO of Ovation Brands, then Buffets Inc. He also serves on the boards of the Armed Services YMCA (ASYMCA) and the University of Delaware, Horn Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. In addition to working in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Wedo developed Leadership - The 12 Commandments, which are his recommendations for leaders. ![]() In August 2015, Wedo returned to Mainline Capital Advisors, LLC as managing director and CEO. Mainline Capital Advisors provided "turnaround management, advisory and executive management consulting services to debt investors and private equity sponsors in the restaurant industry." In 2012, Ovation Brands, formerly Buffets Inc., hired Wedo to help the company following a bankruptcy. Before becoming president, CEO and director of buffet restaurant company Ovation Brands, Wedo founded and worked as managing director and CEO of Mainline Capital Advisors, LLC from 2004 to 2012. Wedo worked as chairman, president and CEO of the New World Restaurant Group, Inc., which is a group of bagel and coffee businesses including Einstein Bros., from 2001 to 2004. He accepted and became the chief concept officer over the entire group of United States Boston Market restaurants from 1997 to 1999. ![]() to offer to purchase his company from him. Wedo's successes with Boston Market while at MidAtlantic Restaurants led Boston Chicken Inc. During his tenure, he was responsible for developing the Boston Market brand in his area and by 1997 had grown the company to "160 restaurants, generating more than $250 million in annualized sales." Wedo founded and was president and CEO for MidAtlantic Restaurants, Inc. įrom 1986 to 1993, Wedo worked for PepsiCo/KFC eventually rising to the level of vice president and general manager of the southeast division of KFC. Wedo earned a bachelor's degree in business from Penn State University and then an MBA and International MBA from Cornell University and Queen's University. He was featured on an episode of CBS's Undercover Boss in 2013. In 2010, he considered running to represent Delaware in the United States House of Representatives.
